Mohammad Ali Meghdadi, affectionately known as Howdy is an astute businessman who is involved in various facets of the business world from loans and acquisitions to his own distribution company in the health industry. A former Boxing Champion in his native Iran, Howdy came to Canada in 1974 and made a name for himself attributing his success to hard work, honesty, determination, intelligence and integrity.
Howdy loves life. “Life is a gift and attitude truly is everything.” This is his motto for which he lives by each and every day. As an active member of the Montreal community, Howdy regularly donates his time hosting charitable events and delivering food to underprivileged families so they can avoid suffering from hunger – a pain that was once a reality for him.
Howdy Meghdadi is very passionate about being the Honorary President of A Taste of the Caribbean, a position he accepted in 2011. He takes his responsibility as the Honorary President very seriously. He is a great mentor to the team and motivates them to strive for excellence and to work hard to ensure the success of this wonderful festival of food, music and Caribbean culture. His valuable experience in sales and marketing allows him to emerge as a leader and influential role model. Howdy says that the success of this festival has nothing to do with luck, but with the hard work of its President, Vice-President and the other valuable members of the team you are extremely committed to the mission and vision of the Organization.
Although Howdy is not originally from the Caribbean, he sees himself as someone who loves the diversity of the Caribbean people and who therefore can expose this wonderful Taste of the Caribbean Festival to other nationalities, business people, his family and friends, bringing together everyone to celebrate the multiculturalism of this wonderful country, Canada.
Howdy is a father of three wonderful children.
