LLOYD TULL

Born in Barbados, West Indies. Lloyd immigrated to Canada over 30 years ago and his dream was to have his own business. From his first venture as a Taxi owner and driver, to the opening of his highly acclaimed and popular Caribec Restaurant and Catering company, Lloyd has proudly brought his Caribbean heritage as a showcase for all his fellow Montrealers. Presently he is the owner of a food manufacturing company in Ville St. Laurent, employing 14 people. His products are found in major supermarkets across Quebec. His hard work, perserverance and strive for perfection is an example to all that work for him and meet him.

Lloyd is a Board Memeber and devoted fundraiser for A Taste of the Caribbean Festival since its inception 12 years ago. Not only does he provide his time and knowledge but his premises are made available to the visiting Caribbean chefs. He allows his premises to be used as a 'stage' for students learning to be chefs , and has allowed supervised tours for organized groups looking to see how a food company operates. Lloyd is a role model for young entrepreneurs in the black community.
