A Culinary Arts Program for Visible minority Youth

A postive and structural approach for building an interesting and productive life for disenfranchised youth



Program Features

• 10 months training at the St. Pius X Culinary Institute by professional Chefs for a total of 1,350 hours.
• Diploma of Vocational Studies obtained
• 3 weeks of Internship in a Restaurant in various fields in the culinary arts
• Mentorship
• Goal Setting
• Day Classes – 35 hours per week - Evening classes - 25 hours per week.
• Guest Speakers from various businesses, i.e. Banking and Investment, Police Department, Celebrity Chefs, Hoteliers etc.
• Remuneration received while training by TRIUMPH PROGRAM
• Group Orientation
• Group and individual assessment to measure and evaluate performance
• Workshops to provide an opportunity for students to share experiences and provide feedback on the program
• Reward and Recognition for students at “A Taste of the Caribbean” Food Festival where students will assist the Chefs catering to the over 1,000 audience
• Graduation Ceremony and Banquet held by TRIUMPH.
• Possibility of employment in a restaurant
• Cost of Program: $800.00 paid by the TRIUMPH PROGRAM
• NO COST TO THE TRIUMPH STUDENTS – Scholarship will be awarded.
